The Everyday Skills Behind Learning

Children use executive function in small moments all day. They remember a routine, wait for a turn, stay with a task, or choose a new plan when something changes.
Fueling Brains looks at attention and memory. It also helps children practice self-regulation and adapt to change. These skills help children learn, solve problems, and form friendships.
At Strata, children practice these skills through guided play, hands-on work, and choices that ask them to think.
About every six weeks, families receive a progress update through the Fueling Brains assessment tool. At Parent Night, the brain coach will explain what the model looks at and answer questions about the results.
Santa Inez and Dolores Way families can meet the Fueling Brains brain coach on Wednesday, September 30. Strata's event message has the time and location.
