Simple Lunches Your Child Can Help Make

1 min read

At Dolores Way, lunch is brought from home. A simple routine can make that daily job easier and give your child a way to join in.

Start with a familiar main. Add fruit or vegetables and one simple side. A roll-up with sliced fruit and crackers is one option. Pasta with vegetables and a favorite side is another. Prepare each food in a way that is safe for your child.

Then choose one job for your child. They can pick between two options, wash produce, place crackers in a container, stir overnight oats, or help fill the lunchbox. Adults can handle cutting and other tasks that need close care.

One clear job is enough. It lets your child take part in a routine that is part of every school day.

Lunch is one piece of the daily rhythm at Dolores Way, where familiar routines support growing independence.

WHAT FAMILIES ARE SAYING

"[Strata Learning Academy] is the absolute best. Our kids are thriving here! I cannot say enough good things about the program! Our oldest just started kindergarten this year and went to [Strata Learning Academy] through TK, couldn't have been prepared any better! The teachers go way above and beyond! Our two little ones are here too and again, learning so much week after week thanks to the wonderful teachers and staff! They make it feel like a home away from home :) I would 100% recommend [Strata Learning Academy] to any family looking for care, learning, and growing!"
